It is with deep regret that we are going to cancel this years event due to COVID-19.
With the restrictive number of anglers on boats, quarantine measures for overseas anglers and social distancing it is only right we cancel the event now.
This will hopefully help in canceling accommodation without losing deposits.
We hope to see you all for next years event (11th to 15th October 2021) this will be a very special event as it will celebrate 20 years of WIBAC .
We will be in contact with anglers that have already paid or paid deposits to issue refunds .

The WIBAC 2020 (Weymouth International Boat Angling Challenge) competition will take place over 5 days with daily cash prizes and an overall prize table, with the competition being broke down into the following: A day’s wreck fishing, Ray/Flatfish Day, Lure Day, One of each Species and 10 of each species and overall 5-day champion. The event will be fished to a points system and returned alive unless being kept for the table or bait.
Entry fees:
£450 per angler
Overall Prize
The overall prize (5 days scores accumulated by boat percentage) will be 1st £2000*, 2nd £1500*, 3rd £1000*, with a prize table.
Other prizes
- For each daily event there will be cash prizes of £300 1st, £200 2nd & £100 3rd
- Daily boat winners on each boat receive £100
- Break a record and win £500 (Cod 17lb 6oz , Ray 32lb 8oz, Conger 86lb , Bass 15lb 5oz , Flatfish 15lb 5oz , Bream 5lb 2oz)
- New Categories for Break a record Wrasse 6lb 2oz and Pollack 14lb 12oz
- Prize table with awards from 1st to 15th Overall
- Drawn 4 man team Prizes & Trophies 1st 2nd 3rd
In addition to the above there are awards for:
- Best specimen
- Most unusual catch
- Best Flatfish
- Best Conger
- Best Ray
- Best Bass
- Best Cod
There are also categories for Ladies, Juniors, Top overseas angler (non British) and Nominated silly award section.
