Penn Mag4 Rock & Surf 143 Max 8oz 14ft rod, designed in the UK for sea anglers!
The Penn Mag4 beach casting rods have been designed and developed in the UK to meet the demands of the modern sea angler. The rods are designed to be paired with the Penn Mag4 reel and not only do the cosmetics make a perfect match but once the pair are coupled together it gives you superb casting and fishing performance.
The 3 Piece carbon blank utilises X-Wrap technology which both increases rod strength but also reduces rod twist allowing longer and more accurate casting. The tip has the right degree of sensitivity to sit nicely in the tide and also show bites well. Bite detection is further aided by the highlighting of the tip which makes bites easier to spot both day and night.
The rod is very nicely finished with genuine Fuji Alconite guides secured by smart whippings. The handle has a full shrink covering for improved grip and the sliding reel seat allows you to get the perfect reel position to suit your casting style.
The Rock & Surf 143 Max is rated to a maximum of 8oz casting and is a great choice for fishing tougher marks or for deliberately targeting larger species in demanding conditions.
