Firstly a huge thank you to all anglers fishing the Pairs Species Open last week and for making it a fantastic two days. With 23 teams enjoying some great fishing and beautiful October weather. The competition is a memorial to our good friend Chris Caines, who we think of always. Plus thank you to our sponsors Snowbee and the Sailors Return.

Joint winners this year were: Northern Sole - Kev Preston & Jon Law, Nobby' s Nuts - Andy Collings & Kev Clark. Both Teams scored 77pts and had 19 species.  Well done chaps on brilliant win. There is no stopping Jon Law who four weeks ago won the Weymouth International Boat Angling Challenge 2017 .

Third Place was: Team Idiot - Ray Barron & Mike Webber 77pts and 15 species .
