We have been running this competition for nine years now and can honestly say we enjoy it as much as the anglers, well I'm one of those as well but you know what I mean. Because of it's variety its a good competition for all abilities and we like nothing more than seeing new faces winning prizes, it also keeps us old stalwarts on our toes. It has certainly become a regular event on the social calander for some. It is a friendly feel good comp with anglers actually helping one another and sharing tips, I know unheard of but it really does happen. Even when the weather has been less than kind or it's been a bit of a dire day the banter and camaraderie amongst friends and strangers (My wife keeps telling me all us anglers are strange) seems to be some compensation. All in all it is throughly enjoyable event.

Our fishing grounds are prolific and varied, last year in the competition we had a 48lb Stingray, Bass to 16LB , Conger to 70lb , Bream to 5lb , wrasse to 6lb and a host of other quality fish with 22 species being recorded throughout the week.

Don't forget we promote "Catch & Release" or we'll start spouting Latin at you again!

There are cash prizes with £100 going to daily individual boat winners, Daily overall winners get £300, runners up £200, third £100. Overall winner gets £500, runner up £300 and third £150. The prize table is quite impressive with prizes for specimen fish, top overseas angler, top junior, top lady and many many more. The presentation evening is worth hanging around for even if you haven't won anything.

The Entry fee is £385 and this includes all your bait , Hog Roast on the Wednesday, presentation buffet, storage facilities on the quay and five days fantastic fishing.
